February 13, 2023 - In the bouquet vanilla and dark berries and pleasant oak. On the palate dark berries, sweet chocolate, beautiful acidity and still slightly sticky tannin. Lovely wine which is still very much alive.

January 23, 2023 - Red color slighty tending to garnet
Nose with flavors of cherry, balck fruit, cigar box, leather, humus... it's very elegant.
The mouth is fresh with a good acidity, well integrated tannins, long with a perect balance
superb smooth texture with a slight grain

June 15, 2022 - Decanted for one hour. Medium to dark garnet colour, with light sediment. Dark and red fruit, black currant, cherry, plum, cedar, tobacco, earth, gingerbread spices, a light graphite, and light gravelly minerality, with medium-level acidity, partly resolved tannin, and average length. Medium-bodied, with average concentration. Thins out and becomes a little angular towards the end and finishes lightly dry. The wine has that classic flavour profile for which I like old school Bordeaux and has good complexity, but left me longing for better concentration and in particular better length. Drink now and over the next six to eight years.

December 5, 2021 - Black fruits, leather, tobacco , humus
    Good acidity, fine tannins, long
Good but a bit too austere

October 4, 2017 - My last bottle and a little disappointing. It's a very good wine, with Madiran-like texture and fruit, but it doesn't quite reach the same heights as the last bottle in 2014. There's a certain stodginess to the middle section which weighs rather heavily on the palate. Still an excellent QPR but not the star it was.
