February 2, 2024 - Pale salmon colored with a fine yet aggressive mousse and low viscosity (12% ABV). The nose is heavenly, unique and inviting. Medium (+) intensity aromas of papaya, lime, blood orange, rose hip and cranberry. I get a faint whiff right at the end of yeasty brioche and green almond. The palate is dry with medium (+) acidity and a light body. The mousse is delicate and fine- invigorating. Flavors of papaya, lime zest, tart blood orange, bitter cherry, brioche and pomegranate lead to a medium length finish. This is an intriguing wine that releases waves of flavors and has a beautiful mouthfeel. I like it- so much so that I will order more. 92 points from me- at $33 it’s a relative bargain compared to French Champagne of this level. 5 stars.

An aside- this wine is made in the Solera method out of the following:

    30% Previous Cuvée
    38% Pinot Noir
    13% Pinot Blanc
    11% Riesling
    8% Chardonnay

    December 2, 2023 - Disgorged 2/23. 30% aged cuvées, 38% pinot noir, 13% pinot blanc, 11% riesling, 8% chard.
Vigorous fine mousse. Cut apple on the nose. In the mouth, fresh yellow and green apple fruit with lime, vibrant acidity on entry. Dry and lively, excellent balance, nice creamy mouthfeel with a little saline slippery. Salt immediately in the mid and stays through the finish. A.

May 12, 2023 - A very unique wine but not one of my favorites from RTR. Seems like it had some skin contact based on color and texture. A bit lacking in fruit but has some drying minerality on the finish. Even the acidity seemed a bit muted for a sparkling wine from FLX.

December 2, 2022 - The color is just magical: faint salmon, and perfectly clear. Apple and a hint of red fruit on the nose. Bone dry, with vigorous mousse (even after several hours of air). The fresh apple notes translate beautifully to the palate, and there is the slightest touch of bitterness on the finish, enhancing the wine's endlessly refreshing qualities. I can honestly say this is the best sparkling wine I've had from the Finger Lakes.

June 21, 2022 - The pErpetual Change solrea method traditional sparkling. In contact motion. And maintains the heritage of the vineyard across the vintage. 38% of cuvee 1. Meaning the previous vintage. And the blend on the back of the label.

They want to avoid a phenolic edge to it. And with some lees notes to it, a bit of a little funk of red varietals in there.

The Finger Lakes the first focus was sparkling wine.
