Community Tasting Notes 5

June 19, 2010 - It needs to decant for about an hour. Lots of acid out of the bottle but soft very quickly. Spicy nose with some smokey notes and light berries. Medium finishh, wine rounded out well after a while. It's okay need to drink soon.

July 6, 2009 - No formal notes but it tasted over ripe and out of balance. 83 points.

November 2, 2008 - Eric brought this to Kathi's house. If you like Parkers style of Aussie Shiraz this will be right up your alley. Black red color. A concentrated and extracted wine. Loaded with rich black fruit, dark chocolate, mocha and cassis. Thick texture and full body. A little too much for my preferences and not a food friendly wine. 88 points.

October 21, 2007 - We have had a couple of Tapestry offerings. One was a Shiraz and it was really jammy. This is not dissimilar: jammy ripe and spicy, inky and purply-red. I find myself guiltily liking these kinds of wines, worrying the while that I will be accused of liking "fruit bombs."
