December 28, 2023 - Dark, inky and purple in the glass. Dark cherry on the nose, and also on the palate. Hints of dark chocolate and graphite. Medium finish, medium complexity. High alcohol, med/low tannin. Quite the juice bomb. Very enjoyable. Didn’t need any decanting for me, was similar 30mins in.

January 28, 2023 - drank 30 minutes after decanting. Definite plenty of ripe and jammy fruit, metallic, still alcoholic on the nose. Plenty of exotic spices, and very woodsy. Hot and alcoholic on the palate 1½ hour after decanting, and pretty ripe on the palate.

January 1, 2022 - Very fruit-forward nose filled with dark cherry and plum, eucalyptus, a hint of pepper and the sweetness of chocolate and vanilla.
Definitely full-bodied, with medium-high acidity and tannins and high in alcohol.
Overall, this is a winemakers wine. Bold and powerful with a soothing sweetness in the palate and a long finish of dark chocolate (a hint of bitterness). Tannins are still present so maybe this needs a bit more time?
Not sure if this is for everyone (or for me) but if you can handle the boldness, certainly well made and enjoyable.1 person found this helpful Comment
