  February 12, 2024 - 3 hour decant and needed more. Love this wine and the M Smith line up. This go around the profile was as expected for G III. Bold, complex and lingering. We’ll see how it develops in another year.

  April 8, 2023 - Nice improvement over the last tasting of this wine. Dark, bold berry fruit with the kind of extraction that Mike Smith is known for.... he doesn't leave any flavors behind. A wine that has come out of hibernation showing power, purple and blueberry fruits. Powerfully intensity, energy along with some dark blackberry liquor aspect to this wine as I've noticed also with previous vintages. Impressive and ready to go for sure. 96/ 96+ Points.

  November 19, 2022 - Napa Valley - November 2022; 11/16/2022-11/19/2022 (Napa Valley): Tasted with Leah Smith at Tamber Bey. More structured than the Quivets but not far from the Pellet. Very fruit forward but some noticeable purity of purple and black fruits. Still not my style but I can appreciate the effort. Add 3-4 points if you're a fan of the powerful, fruit enveloping style.

  November 4, 2022 - Tasted at Tamber Bay with 2 other couples. My wife and I both felt like this seemed nearly identical to Myriad's Napa CS; when another couple heard us whispering about this when Leah left for other samples, they said they felt the same. I later shared my honest opinion that if tasting blind I'd guess them to be the same fruit but with a slightly different barrel program. Certainly not worth double the NV CS; maybe difference's will emerge in time, but not on that day.

  October 24, 2022 - Great wine but I have high standards for Georges III especially when measured by the standards of 2016 vintage (the best ever in my opinion). This wine is drinking nicely, bold dark berry fruit, good extractions, nice flavors and bound to improve but slightly inhibited in the early stages. 94/94+ Points.
