June 6, 2020 - Pnp. Lots and fine sediment. Classic Bordeaux in style. Lovely Bordeaux funk on nose, mushrooms, earth n red fruits. Great balance. Good structure, fine tannins. Food friendly. Alive n well on night two.

July 20, 2015 - Was not as a exciting as the 2005 Grand Pontet opened the same evening but was still good on its own. New world side with red fruits but not a lot of tannins or grip on the finish.

March 14, 2014 - Delightful. Expressive nose of tart cherries. Tastes of cranberries and a bit of cedar.

February 4, 2014 - We both thought this tasted more new world in style, sweet, almost over extracted. Don't recognize it from our other impressions. Odd.

August 11, 2013 - I forgot we had a bottle in may. The difference in impression suggests some bottle variation perhaps as its hard to think three months made such a difference. So the question is- do I read our old notes or not? If I had I wouldn't have opened. I didn't read and we had a very nice wine.
