January 3, 2022 - Appearance- clear, rose-gold coloration. Medium+ viscosity. Light effervescence.
On the nose- apples, juicy watermelon, green pepper.
Palate- French bread and apple. Watermelon and lemon zest, medium acidity, medium body. Maybe some candy.
Finish- smooth as always. No bitter tannins, and flavor dissipates after 10 seconds to leave no remnant of flavor.
This wine was a white whale for me, as I could not effectively find it anywhere but seasonally in one local shop. But at the time it was one of the best wines I had ever had. This isn't true anymore, but it remains as one of my favorite roses to-date. Well see how it stacks up in 3 years... -
