March 23, 2023 - Deep purple color fading to violet at rim
Medium aromas of red/ black fruit with leather and dried florals with rose petals in background - nice
Medium plus bodied with fairly simple and rustic palate of dark fruit
Medium plus rather coarse tannins with medium alcohol and medium to medium plus acidity
Moderate finish led by fruit and tannin
Would hold 2-3 yrs as tannins are a bit dominating and rustic in nature
Reminds me a bit of Cahors

April 2, 2022 - This wine reminded me of a Frappato I've had a few times. After the initial "effervesce" blew off, the wine settled down into a medium weight glass with berry and savory goodness. Sadly the depth of flavors just wasn't there (hence my score below the magical 90 benchmark) but I have a few more bottles and will try again in a few months (not that I am expecting a whole lot of further development). Still a nice glass of something different.

February 26, 2022 - First bottle of this vintage followed a miano from the same vineyard. Definitely can use some decanting or air. Deep purple color lighter texture high alcohol content at first. Nice wine

February 5, 2022 - Minimal hot nose. Relatively well balanced, medium bodied, nice fruit with only a bit of excess acid.

January 21, 2022 - Needs 30-45 min of air. Very slight effervescence that blew off in initial 5-10 min. Nice acidity. Mod tannin.
