Community Tasting Notes 8

September 14, 2009 - maybe past its peak a little. always an interesting viognier with a hint of camphor and grapefruit. smoothed out after it warmed up a bit. qpr a little hard to justify at $50. that said there arn't alot of super premium viognier out there and this does clearly float above the rest.

May 14, 2009 - Nice Viogier with notes of peach citrus, mineraln and perfume on the nose. Rich thick unctuous palate with good bright gapefruit and peach fruit on the palate and balancing acidity. 91-92 pts.

August 28, 2008 - In the glass, very slightly cloudy and pale yellow. On the nose, a nice mixture of stone and peach. On the palate, a more austere blend of mineral and peach, with heat on the midpalate and on the finish. A little too much heat here, and it's not clear that it's going to resolve with time.

February 16, 2008 - This was very acidic. My friend commented that it was indigestion causing. I thought the predominant flavor was grapefruit. Weird. Not bad, but not worth seeking out, especially at this price point.
