April 22, 2022 - Another yummy Smith Story wine from the Nash Mills Vineyard in the deep end of Anderson Valley (I assume that's why it's called the Boonies?) Unfortunately this was the last vintage they were able to source from this vineyard - because it's a delicious Pinot Noir. 25% new oak and 75% used, there is a slight hint of oak here, but it's deftly managed. The fruit is gorgeous with both red and dark berries on the palate. It's 4 years old and drinking well, but I think this will age beautifully over the next 5 or 6 years.
