September 28, 2023 - Day 1: Will say this is better than the last bottle with spice, dried flowers, raspberries, minerals, white pepper and tar. Medium plus finish. Amazing what time can do on a bottle of wine. 92 points
Day 2: Even better with green olives, dried flowers, raspberries, white pepper, minerals, spices and tar. Super complex wine and long finish. Excellent value at purchase after a disappointing first bottle. 93 points
Recommendation: Don't shy away from the 2020 vintage from Washington. This is great and have had some other amazing wines.3 people found this helpful Comments (3) -

April 16, 2023 - Really bright - nice hues and a rich red undertone. Pleasant earthyness.

December 1, 2022 - Day 1: Grenache/ Syrah. Serviceable but not at the level of Kevin White or other Rocks District wines for the same price point. Almost commercial in nature with sweet fruits, spice, dust, tar and dirt. Thin on the finish and nothing complex about this wine. No wonder this was $20 on Wine Bid. Might get better but get Result of a Crush wines for $24.60 with shipping through their 12 bottle club. Far superior. 85 points
Day 2: Nice overall improvement. Lost some of that sweet in your face fruit and shows more of the traditional raspberry and strawberry flavors. Also spice, bramble, tar, dust and earth. Again if I were to pop and pour and rate like so many do this would be an easy pass for me but this is better on day 2. 89 points
Day 3: Again fine and better than day 1 but an easy pass for $58 retail. Glad I paid $20 on Wine Bid. Raspberry, ripe strawberries, spice, bramble and sour cherry. Just a bit too ripe of a wine for me. I have always liked Syrah from Washington considerably more than the Grenache/ Grenache blends. 88 points
Recommendation: Would go with Kevin White La Fraternite over this one as it is $35.00 but discounted through the club. Can't believe the retail on the Southern Blend is $58 although $45 for club members is still high. -

May 13, 2022 - My first trip to Walla Walla; 5/12/2022-5/14/2022 (Walla Walla, Washington): 65% Grenache, 25% Syrah, 10% Mourvedre. Juicy, smoky, strawberry, a bit candied, lots of acid. My Grenache bias leans strongly to Chateauneuf-du-Pape, but this has some nice funk to it.
