  September 3, 2016 - This wine was excellent, but it is long gone. Wish I had this (bogus inventory) bottle now, as it would be fun to try. Was great with food -- especially MidEastern foods and meats. They were $22 on close-out sale: very good QPR for that price. Too bad Dain has stopped making wine.

  September 5, 2011 - This wine is improving with age. I had the first bottle in July 2010 but now (Sept. 2011) it seems to be a notch better. (Not too) sweet, juicy, dark berry-aromas and flavors, however, on day two I noticed some very subtle turpentine/tar aromas. Finishes nicely with fresh ground pepper and light herbal notes. Slightly acidic and (almost) soft tannins. Another year and this one is at its prime. Decanting is not necessary.
