  Ripe red berries, leather, mushroom, earth…in the mouth it’s juicy and fleshy, still has tannic grip. All travel long. Lovely

  February 18, 2017 - Garnet, some separation at the edge. Spicy, floral nose. Delicate, almost Burgundian palate, but with a cassis element. Fantastic at 55 yrs

  November 3, 1985 - My notes are, like most of them, written without knowing what I had in the glass, but I want to tell that explicitly with this wine, because this was an EXPERIENCE! Deep dark carmine. Fruit and oak in a mature, complex and very attractive bouquet. Beautifully full bodied, soft cassis, liquorice, soft but firm tannin, good acidity and very harmonious. Long and complex aftertaste. A great beauty! A very complete wine with everything you can want to expect; complex, soft and powerful and a lot of character. This wine is not a bit too old. Better; this wine can last for at least another 5 to 10 years. What a wine! After seeing what it was I decided to visit this chateau the next trip I made to Bordeaux.
