June 11, 2023 - Some bottle variability but incredibly tasty for the most part. Fruit is subtle but shows some dried cranberry with faint violets intermixed with a dominant display of earth tones — hazelnut, light tar, mocha, pencil shavings and faint wisps of mushroom. Palate is well constructed but pretty robust, even for a Morgon. Moderate tannin and acid in equal measure show on the palate with a reinforced bright red fruit character. Delicious balance.

January 16, 2023 - Gobs of aromatic intrigue but austere; lacking any depth or expansiveness on the palate. Not enough structure to hold up to food and not enough interest to keep me wanting another glass.

November 24, 2022 - My favorite of the wines in the Beaujolais flight at Amelie Wine Bar. Dark and brooding, and dominated by forest floor and baking spices rather than fruit, smooth palate and long finish. Just lovely!
