April 18, 2023 - This reminds me of '90s zinfandel I liked it quite a bit and would happily buy a case.
Very jammy and extracted but with backbone. Sort of a classic old school zin. When I want to have zinI want a Zin and when I want a Bordeaux I want a bordeaux. I like them to taste differently. Reminds me of the '97s -

October 5, 2022 - Moderate hot spicy nose. Medium to full bodied, nice fruit, chalk and a bit of excess acid.

September 9, 2022 - Not your typical fruity zin. Port like and peppery. Almost like a Pinot Noir concentrate. Found it overpowering on first opening (didn't decant, just used an aerator.). So much so that I didn't enjoy the second glass. Two days after opening it was much mellower.

March 26, 2022 - Yeow… I do love old vine zin even though my heart is in Burgundy and Mosel. There is a rich, decadent liquor-like quality to old vine Zinfandel that reminds me so much of port. Sadly, it doesn’t age super-well but right now, this wine is at an amazing place. Rich, blackberry liquor and an earthy quality. Finish lasts forever. If you have them, it tastes far more complex and rich out of wider Zalto Josephine #3 than Zalto Universal glasses. Struggled to find the ideal accompaniment and then it hit me. This is ideal for a smoky meat dish… and no sweet barbecue sauce 😉
