May 10, 2024 - Definitely needed the 2-hour decant. Upon opening, closed and muted notes and flavors. As evening progressed, crushed red flowers and berries, red cherry, tar and tobacco on the nose and palate. Plenty of fruit, but those strong herbal and earth flavors really make it interesting. As others have noted, lots of tannic grip - still young. Great value. Holding 2nd bottle to see what happens.

January 7, 2024 - Still very young, with quite prominent tannins. Floral and lifted with a core of red fruit and spices.

    Light garnet colour.

Pronounced aromas of rose petals, red cherry, raspberry, all spice, clove cedar, tobacco, wet dirt, charred wood.

    Pronounced palate.

Medium (+) body, high tannin, high acidity, long finish.

June 27, 2023 - Still way too young. And honestly I don't think it would be an amazing wine even with 10-20+ years. The acidity is unbalanced and it didnt open up that much even after a long decant. Not worth the cellar space

June 24, 2023 - Good Barolo, but still too young to beat evaluate. Tannins are quite grippy and the structure is there for a 10-20 years ageing from release, at least! 91+pts

April 17, 2023 - Already drinking well on PnP. Medium ruby red. Good legs. Pretty nose, with roses and red fruit. Good presence in the mouth, with good balance and grip. Tannin present but with fruit to match. Savory. This was $35 at Costco, and well worth it. It will last, but if you're yearning for a Barolo and don't want to wait for some of your long-agers, this is a good option to drink now while you are waiting on the others. 5-12-17-8: 92/100.
