Community Tasting Notes 5

  • Jeff Gray Likes this wine:

February 11, 2023 - cherry, sl acid in middle, pepper on aroma, liked 2020 vintage better

  • Stephen Rash Likes this wine:

August 6, 2022 - When I last had this wine 8 months ago, I picked up aromas of peach skin which I did not get on this bottle. Aromas of blackberry, crushed rock, roasted meat, and violets on the nose. Tastes of blackberry, sanguine, licorice, and pepper on the palate. I always love the fresh, floral aspects to this wine that the co-fermented Viognier provides.

  • Rond Likes this wine: 94 points

June 10, 2022 - Dark purple in color. Notes of black pepper, grilled smokey meat, and dark cherry. Moderate tannins and acidity nicely in balance. Very nice. Might be even better with a little more time in bottle.

  • papak Likes this wine: 91 points

May 12, 2022 - Intense nose of black fruit, ground pepper, and the right amount of oak. Blueberry crumble, blackberry, smoke, and ground pepper on the palate. Decently long finish, probably the would be even better with more air.

  • Stephen Rash Likes this wine:

December 4, 2021 - Purple in color w/magenta rim. Aromas of blackberry, raspberry, peach skin, and black pepper on the nose; tastes of blackberry and black pepper on the palate; medium(+) body, medium acidity, medium(+) tannins; long, peppery finish. I liked the hints of peach skin on the nose.
