June 4, 2022 - This was a "gift" from Matt after his fulfillment house botched an order. Solid and satisfying, focused and pure. Another winner from MM.

May 4, 2021 - This lively and refreshing Charbono rose is drinking beautifully right now. A cure for the common summer sipper, this unique wine hit the spot - and then some - on a warm spring day. Light pink in color; light in body; aromas of orange zest, fresh flowers, and ocean mist. Flavors of dried strawberry, raspberry, and quince, with a brisk and dry finish that carries a creamy hint of sourness (in a word: rhubarb). 13% alcohol.

I am not an authority on rose; in fact, I find most roses to be kind of boring, kind of heavy, or both. That said, it’s hard not to enjoy an original, refreshing, and affordable wine, and this is all of those things. I loved the 2019 Charbonita, but the 2020 is even better. A complete steal at $35, this wine is one I can't wait to drink more of this summer (or, um, sooner!).
