July 31, 2022 - Richly scented, textured.
Medium ruby. Pronounced. Flowers (hibiscus and rose), succulent strawberry, raspberries, cassis, ripe, sweet spices, anise, flint. Pronounced toasted flavours (25% new wood) overshadow the wine at first. More relaxed and balanced the next day. Medium body, 13%. Long and complex.
Lieu-dit ‘Longbois’ just outside Beaune’s premier crus vineyards. 25% new wood.
