April 23, 2024 - Notes at the pop: crowd-pleasing sweetness and malo-ferm texture riding on a sizeable wave of alcohol. Still big and firm tannins. Going to leave this open overnight and update tomorrow.
Day 2: So much better with the extra exposure. The tannins now meld into the picture seamlessly and the cocktail nature of the wine has subsided a bit. I think steak tacos or carbonara would be a great match up for this.

February 11, 2024 - Second to last bottle, still tight and tannic day 1 but better day 2 with more fruit and a hint of cinnamon candy. Will save the last bottle for 2026+

November 3, 2023 - Decanted. Tasted after 2 hours. Tight lots of pucker. Five hours later much more enjoyable. Betting much better with more time or longer decant

October 18, 2023 - Glass decant for 2 hours. Dark purple, nearly opaque color. Nose has subtle flowery perfume. The flavor was savory initially, ripe black fruits came out towards the end of hour 3. Tannins are soft and acidity is somewhat lacking for my preference. Probably needs a longer decant, or hold another year. Not my favorite dN but an acceptable weekday sipper. will check in tomorrow.

June 11, 2023 - Notes after 8 hours open. It was profound and beautiful at the pop but the bouquet dropped off dramatically after 30 minutes or so. It stayed muted and stiff for another 4 or 5 hours in a decanter before slowly unfurling again. But then it really came through with lovely aromatics and a plush mouthfeel, in no small part due to the endowment of tannins. This all seems to be coalescing with time in the bottle and air time once opened.
