  June 20, 2023 - Very good wine, but clearly a bit closed right now. Richter’s Elisenberg is becoming one of my favorite German wines.

  April 22, 2023 - A young Kabinett with 50g of R.S. from Weingut Max Ferd. Richter Mülheim right on the bank of the River Moselle. Seems a certain J.S. seemed to enjoy this one as well, and for the price here in Canada ($26 CAD) it's not too bad of a gamble.
  
  Color: Clear, Pale Lemon
  Nose: Medium intensity, youthful with notes of fresh lemon zest, green and yellow apples, white peach, wet pebbles and orange blossoms
  Palate: Medium+ intensity, medium body, high acidity with notes of fresh tangerines, sliced pear, wet pebbles, white flowers and honeydew melon
  Finish: Medium length with lingering stone fruits and minerality
  
  Very good quality Kabinett with lots of bustling aromatics and tightly woven acidity. I can definitely see this being a long-hauler, although at the moment the finish isn't quite there for me to call this outstanding.

  April 14, 2023 - PNP. cork perfect. color is pale straw. nose has salty apples. Swishing shows bright acidity that is well balanced by fruit and modest RS. Sipping this shows perfect balance between structure and RS - not a rough edge to be found. Finish is lengthy and delicate - delicious.
  I think that this will age beautifully.

  September 6, 2022 - 2020 Max Ferdinand Richter Veldenzer Elisenberg Riesling Kabinett was fresh and perfumed. The youthful Mosel Riesling was clear and pale lemon in colour without any sediments. Aromas of tangerine and red apple were followed by honeysuckle, white pepper and a whiff of smoke.
  
  On the palate, it was medium-dry and light-bodied, complemented by a high level of piquant acidity. There were flavours of pear, lemon candy, grapefruit and white blossom in a medium, pleasurable finish. The alcohol level was at 8%. The empty bottle weighed 439 grams. The last four digits of the A.P. number read 3021. An established rule of complementary wine pairing is to pair sweet food with wine of a similar sweetness level. The Kabinett Riesling can go well with lotus seed paste-based mooncake, and fried pork ribs in sweet-sour sauce.
