July 8, 2007 - Very similar to the other tasting note, even though 2 years later. Still full of fruit. Dark and intense colour, loads of fruit on the nose, raspberry, blackberry and cherry, along with creosote and wood, palate mainly raspberry fruit, quite dry with decent acidity. Hints of vinegar on the finish. Maybe a tad flawed but loads of fruit mask it pretty well. This was an enjoyable wine from the cellar.

April 25, 2004 - Interesting wine. Opaque, inky purple. Explosive, almost over the top, on both the nose and palate. Tons of briary, peppery, dark fruit that seems to persist forever on the palate. Some alcoholic heat mars the effect on the palate and the finish. A very distinctive wine that was quite enjoyable, but I think I'd grow tired of it after having a couple bottles. If it were under $20, it would be a fun wine to bring to tastings and fool people with, but $28 is a little too high.
