December 24, 2015 - decanted 30 min. and drank over 2 hours. Definitely pleased with its evolution the last couple years...better than I thought it would be. I'd say a 90 but the wife felt it was a solid 91. A smidge better than the '01 and a lot better than the '03. Considering I got it for a mere $18, definitely pleased.

December 30, 2012 - Unremarkable - missing the earthiness I like in Nebbiolo, very acidic. Not a bad pairing with lasagna, but didn't think it would stand up on its own. Have 3 more and will probably give them away. Looks like a nicer bottle than it really is.

August 21, 2012 - Fortunately had two bottles as the first was corked. Pleasant wine, light, a bit tart, not much finish. Good wine with food i suspect but rather "everyday" for a sipping wine.

Still would buy again to serve with a pasta meal, but wasn't worth 5 years in the cellar.

May 25, 2012 - Non-blind. Had immeadiately at restaurant in Rome (Wine #1 among 4 ppl)
Curving, slightly bent earth-woody flavors that were promising.
A Barbaresco just emerging from the juvenile stage. Fine, firm tannins and good acids in a medium bodied very elegant wine.
For the price point, it did extremely well. If I owned some bottles, I'd hold.
Had happy laughs while reading the previous tasters' notes :-)
No, you don't need to have had strange mushrooms in order to enjoy this wine :-)))
I liked it very much. It married the food in happy manners, and the happiest marriage was with the prosciutto plate.

January 1, 2010 - A relatively light bodied wine, opened two hours before drinking. Long mouth finish, a hint of spices and black cherry, my only bottle.
