March 21, 2009 - The nose on this is quite interesting. I'm getting a funky salty note with distinct tomato and balsamic vinegar scents. The wine tastes of balsamic as well, in a good way. This probably sounds horrible, but I think you could do some amazing things cooking with these flavors. The fruit is smooth and light throughout the palate with nice sweetness. I was expecting a little longer finish, but overall it's a tasty wine.

January 25, 2008 - Ken: Rich ruby color with full fruit jammy flavor which lingers on the palate. Black currant, cranberry, blackberry, touch of smoke.
Jess: Sweet (almost overly so) yet tasty, lends itself well to mixing with citrus.

January 22, 2008 - Balsamic Vinegary smells, ripe tomatoes, stemmy, smells. Palate is juicy and has some nice acids still.

December 2, 2007 - "Wines We Covet" (The Primes): Late harvest syrah. Distinct smell like balsamic vinegar--not a bad thing, but unexpected. Not particular complex, but fun. Paired nicely with chocolate truffles.
