  May 22, 2023 - 13.9% alcohol; composite cork with a sourish, corky aroma; foil is medium weight; medium legs, medium ruby red; opened, vinturied, and tasted 10 minutes later at 19 degrees C; nose of sour stone fruit; medium to full bodied, fruit forward, stone fruit predominates, followed by apples and pears; tannins are subdued, the sourness in the nose attenuated in the direction of fruitiness, almost no bitterness, sweetness is well integrated with the fruit; long finish with the fruitiness even more beguiling than at the front or middle of the tongue; would pair well with umami foods, like steak or chicken prepared on the grill, and also with hors d'oeuvres or even a piece of afternoon Torte; has a high QPR at its current mark-down price at Publix

  April 8, 2023 - "A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds." When I tasted this two years ago, I didn't like it at all. Perhaps I got a bad bottle last time, or maybe the additional time in the bottle has improved it. It has a very oaky nose, and oak is also prominent on the palate. Fairly soft, lots of dark fruit, smooth finish. A little hot on the end. A very nice Cali Cab.
