Community Tasting Notes 2

June 15, 2011 - Opened, cork soaked only half length. Crimson rim. Initial notes honey, earth, forest, berries. Need to decant. Light palatal feel of tiring fruits, berries, vanilla, oak, tannin in the background and fading, failing to hold it's fruity structure layers. Aged. Dry finish. Drink now, keeping will not improve. 2nd day - intense honey, apricot, fruits. Oaks fading, tannin more composed. Smoother finish.

August 24, 2007 - Kept the few bottles in my cellar for quite some time. Still young on opening, decant it for 2-3 hours. Fruits, berry, oak, and bit of vanilla and cigar to nose. I think it may have peaked by now. Fair-structure to palate and fading finish.
