April 16, 2024 - Enjoyed two glasses of this 2020 Rosé, which had been opened by a friend two days prior. In the glass, the wine is a deep salmon color with more pale, pinkish rim. On the nose, ripe strawberry, Trader Joe’s Thai lime and chili almonds, watermelon, dried green herbs, and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with low tannin and medium acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium and there was a very nice, silky texture. This was quite charming and the Thai lime component I found to be especially interesting. This drinks well now and should continue to do so through 2030.

April 15, 2024 - Provence (Mexicantown): This pour follows directly after three other Provençal rosé wines.
This one is reserved, mannered, and brooding. Dense with information; animated; lean.
Cordial drupe rides shotgun with curcubis/curcubet/curcuma (melon, cuke, turmeric, siam tulip) shag. Improbable lithic structure. Bitter, appetizing stone, inky with buried shade. Rooted green acidity. Drinkability: unproblematic. Considerable palate mass is swept along briskly, producing compounding yields of aromatic frontal intensity (strawberry lime.) Copious sappy acid in laminar cataract, drawn from balsam mushroom litter. Chewable residual slurps produce fluent verse. Illuminated stuff.

Delays of 24 and 48 hours confirm all of this.

September 7, 2023 - Quite deeply coloured for a rose. Attractive nose of ripe red fruits with also a touch of reductive characters and flint. Similar flavours on the palate, medium-bodied and with a refreshing medium acidity, perhaps a wisp of residual sweetness. Good purity on the fruit profile, good length. 14% ABV, and an excellent quality cork - something you'd find in a top Bordeaux 1st or 2nd growth.

June 23, 2023 - Really intense deep red color for a rose, plus rich, and pure fruit flavors from the Grenache, Syrah , et al. Some fresh herb, sage perhaps . A little sweetness too.

March 23, 2023 - As interesting as this is, with onion skin and some fine sherry notes, it’s more a curiosity than a truly delicious wjne to my palate. Don’t get me wrong we finished the bottle, and if you haven’t tried this wine, it’s worthy to seek out a couple, but the gold standard (Lopez de Heredia) is far more enjoyable to my palate.
