Community Tasting Notes 4

April 21, 2023 - Intense and powerful nose of black berries, black currant with earthy notes of iron and minerals. The taste is very complex - still very youthful and tight with great acidity, firm tannins, great structure and a long finish. Big wine!…

March 21, 2023 - The wine opens with espresso, violets, chocolate and plums. On the palate, the wine is polished, supple, creamy and fresh, providing you with the perfect structure for richly-textured, lush, chocolate-covered plum and espresso-filled finish. Drink from 2024-2045.

May 20, 2021 - Dark garnet in color, the wine is plush, round and polished. The black plums, licorice, smoke, tobacco and dark chocolate on the nose and palate get your attention. Richly textured with a long blast of black cherry, plum and oak on the palate and in the finish. Let the wine age for 6-7 years allowing enough time for the oak to integrate, as there is more than enough supple textured fruit to soak it all up. 93-95

May 10, 2021 - Airoldi - Bordeaux En Primeur 2020 (Quay Restaurant, International Passenger Terminal, Sydney): Plums, slight red berries show jubey, plenty of spice here as well, alcohol warmth and a tiny herbaceous touch lends a touch of Portiness to proceedings on the nose. Quite Porty on the palate as well with a juicy sour red fruit underpin. It's a bit out of whack for me.
