Community Tasting Notes 5

March 21, 2023 - Red fruits, dried flowers and green, leafy herbs create the nose. On the palate, the wine has lift, energy and vibrance to the red berries and spice. The finish is equally fresh, as well as elegant. Chateau de France has been on quite a roll lately and 2020 is no exception. Drink from 2024-2040.

March 6, 2023 - The 2020 vintage UGCB tasting in Amsterdam 03/06/2023 (Amsterdam): Black currants, a whiff of gentle wood, firm bitters, but absolutely acceptable and a good balance in the aftertaste.

January 9, 2023 - (50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 50% Merlot, 14% Alkohol) Offene Nase, Tabak, rote Früchte, Minze, Kakao. Macht schon jetzt Spass. 2023-2035 (Verkostet am 8. November 2022 in Zürich) www.vvwine.ch

2025-2035 (April/Mai 2021)

May 20, 2021 - Chateau de France has been on quite a roll lately and 2020 is no exception. The wine is dark in color and in its fruit. There are additional nuances of smoke, tobacco leaf, savory herbs and currants. Lush, round, silky and sweet, there is energy, length and complexity here. Plus, the wine sells for a song. 91-93
