September 1, 2022 - Deeply colored; nose of rich dark cherry fruit, loamy soil, hints of sage and spearmint; nicely expressive, barely-going-secondary fruit meets very balanced structure. Eminently drinkable now while most ‘05s remain clenched and (too often) painful. A tribute to the late Becky Wasserman’s “Selections” and it should age gracefully. 92+

August 22, 2020 - Good color, earthy and sweet nose, moderate fruit and long length. Can hold a few more years or drink now. Drinking very well.

October 3, 2015 - Surprisingly dark and rich for a Beaune premier cru level wine. Alluring B nose and a berry-laden flavor palate with smooth tannins. A touch high in acid for my taste which limits my score a bit; however, very enjoyable overall.

November 26, 2013 - Much darker appearance than expected, maroon not ruby. Richer also than anticipated, with darker fruits, black cherry, tea, black raspberry and the like. Lacking in acidity and that shortcoming prevents the wine from remaining fresh over the bottle (tires the palate a bit) but overall a good well balanced full bodied effort. The older notes would suggest this is past prime.
