  September 28, 2008 - Purplish-ruby red in the glass. Aromas of blackberry, rasberry, and a bit of menthol. I also got some sweetness on the nose that I couldn't identify (vanilla?, cedar?, chocolate?) On the palate the fruit flavors continued with some nice acidity on the back of the palate. This is a medium bodied wine with a nice mouthfeel. The finish was quite long, and more of the fruit, particularly the rasberry, lingered. We paired this with tenderloin and mushrooms, and it held well, although the finish is lessened when paired with the food. I thought this was a nice value at $11, and continues of a run of good Zins I've consumed lately.

  April 16, 2008 - trying this again. Its a very nice and approachable quaffer. hints of cinnamon on the midpalate. light to mid bodied. not your typical california zinfandel. good QPR.

  March 21, 2008 - flavorful berry nose. medium bodied & none of that hot and heavy fire that zin is known for; rather nuanced berry flavors with a mildly spice midpalate and good finish. My main critique would be that it lacks depth. Overall a nice tablewine esp for the price. And made from organic grapes which bumps it up one point.
