February 2, 2022 - A really delicious wine with balance and intrigue throughout. The nose starts off really fresh - lots of black and blue fruit but immediately has a thick streak of minerality that is super intriguing.
This chalky, earthy, mineral background really develops in the glass and ties the whole thing together into a tight package of focused, pleasure-inducing juice.
Herbal notes, eucalyptus, grape candy, tobacco leaf, fresh blackberry, and a meaty character all converge in the glass. The drink is tightly wound at first, but relaxes readily and develops into a silky texture with a clean, velvety finish. Quite superb! -
