December 19, 2023 - PnP. Peach, apricot, Meyer lemon, lime leaf, some herbal notes, slate and wet stones. Medium+ acidity, but not as electric as it seemed last time (Dec 2021). But it has enough acidity to balance the sweetness. It's tempting to say it's a bit closed right now, but it could also be that it lacks the youthful exuberance it had on release. But it's still excellent, even if it lacks without some of the snap and flash it had on release. I still think the best is ahead for this wine and don't regret opening it now.

October 7, 2023 - Took this to dinner at Fawn. From memory. This was good but it didn’t blow me away. Very herbal and green-herbal on the nose with stuff like lavender, verbena and mint. That’s along with the usual citrus and lime. Very slatey as well. So this has a lot of the components but it just didn’t snap like the best bottles of Falkenstein I’ve had.

September 10, 2023 - A really pretty off dry riesling. I agree with others that this is lacking some depth and complexity at the moment, but I think that's just its relative youth. Revisit in ~2026.

October 21, 2022 - I'm a fan of this wine, with its juicy, balanced acidity and plentiful yellow fruit, but I don't see the 96pt MFW score, nor the 93pt scores on here. Some blackcurrant leaf and light aniseed aromas, and succulent on the palate. Easy drinking, not especially intellectual, not especially long. I think this might be a bit shut down, not least as at one point I wondered if it were corked (which I see others have pondered, too) - but I'm pretty sure it isn't.

June 23, 2022 - A wow Riesling. Nose of honey lime and peach. Palate beautifully balanced with just enough sweetness to balance the acid. Great finish. Tart lemon on the mid weight textural center. A wine that is both intellectual, serious and interesting, while also flat out gluggably delicious.
