    December 20, 2022 - My go-to $10 rosé.

July 21, 2022 - Color: Deep salmon rosé. Orange rim. Almost as dark as a very light red wine. This is normal for Tavel.

Nose: Slightly muted nose right now. Dried herbed cherry, strawberry, blood orange.

Palate: Med-full body. Good flavor intensity. Sl tart, totally dry finish. 13.5% alc.

Not very complex but inexpensive, and authentic Tavel Rosé.
Good, maybe great, value at $10 at TJs.

    86-88 pts.

Optimum drinking window: 2022-2023 (maybe 2024 from a cool stable cellar).

July 13, 2022 - Just another rosé in a long line of them that's very tasty, but neither complex nor ever worth a purchase for me over a similarly-priced white or light red, when looking for refreshment. I'll give this one more point than the usual score I give rosé, for two reasons: 1. It's super super cheap, so even though it's very simple, it doesn't feel crazy overpriced, and 2. I did get a little touch of that extra concentrated tavel style. That said, it was only a shadow of the d'Aqueria tavel I had from Costco last year, and that was the same price, with lush strawberry and persistent acidity. This example was sort of like the same profile, but about 1/3 as expressive and energetic. Some cute red fruit and acceptable acidity, especially for $10, just not what I'm looking for - can't imagine choosing this over Jadot Beaujolais Villages for example, also available at Trader Joe's around the same price, and many times better in terms of both depth and vibrancy.
