Community Tasting Notes 5

  • Sovinator Likes this wine: 89 points

December 3, 2023 - Light brick color. On the positive side, complex character with notes of cherry, cedar and earthiness. On the negative side, astringent and did not fully come together even after 2 hour decant.

    October 29, 2023 - October 29 & 31, 2023

Opened for guests on the 29th and didn’t take notes, but I did make a mental note that it needed a bit more air than we could give it.

On the 2nd night, the 31st, it was much more open, so notes are from them.

Ripe red cherry, herbs, dry earth. Intensely fruited on the palate, espresso, fine grippy tannin.

Delicious. Glad I got to try this producer. Definitely quality juice, but I’m not sure I’d pay this much for it again.

October 15, 2023 - Red fruit, wild herbs, and dust / soil. A lot going on here. Powerful and rustic, and yet somehow still retains its elegance. Nice.

October 11, 2022 - Tasted over two nights. Needs a couple years or a lot of air. Possible upscore. 14.5%
