October 6, 2020 - Compared to recent tasting of the 05' this one is better. Let me start by stating that I love older wine. A 14 y/ old Pinot Noir wine is something I live for. More brown than I expected the wine is strawberry right up front.

The mid palette is less strawberry and more cherry (sour at that) with a drying finish. Closed at the finish with overwhelming tannin that makes me feel that the wine seems unbalanced. That all said ... it is bett than the 05' and I recommend opening this now since waiting will desolve flavors.

May 7, 2020 - Fully mature but not over the hill. Very good secondary nose and flavors.

August 11, 2019 - They always talk about a wine that is from a perfect Btl and this was it. Wow. Delicious, fruit forward, long palate feel.

January 31, 2013 - light ruby in color. cherry, oak, smoke on the nose. cedar, tobacco, cherry, cola on the palate. good acid, low tannins on the finish.

April 8, 2012 - Nice color, ruby not inky, lots of cherries and berries. With a definite stamp of Gary's vineyard fruits. Spiciness with a smooth finish. Austere and restrained, but still very distinctive and true to the terroir of the vineyard. Not at all hot in spite of the high level of alcohol. A year ago I thought this was on its downside, now I'm not so sure.
