September 16, 2023 - "Bear lifted me up so I could see all the earth. He said I may jump high among the cliffs, and live forever."
"The mountains have always been here, and in them, the bears."
DuCard is nestled at the eastern edge of Shenandoah National Park, in the shadow of Old Rag Mountain and near White Oak Canyon. The park provides abundant habitat for the American Black Bear, an iconic and magnificent species. One in four has a white crescent "DuCard" moon blaze on their chest. Sip on French-style, boutique wines while enjoying our mountain-view and streamside tasting room, patios and decks. Maybe you'll spot a bear!

July 23, 2023 - This is a great PNP Virginia red blend that’s well made, easy drinking and would pair well with a cookout or on its own. Medium ruby, red cherry, blackberry and an earthiness on the nose. Light-medium body. Drinks more like a Pinot. Good example of a no fuss VA red blend.
