April 25, 2024 - A little bit from expectation, but stll good and nice to drink.

November 1, 2023 - Clos Joliette Study Part I (Chicago, IL): What a very different beast from Clos Joliette. This is clearly a very modern-styled wine (in the sense that it's not a white wine cut from the cloth of the time when Château-Grillet, La Coulée de Serrant, Montrachet, et al. were considered the pinnacles of white wine). Lean, bright, and high acid, but not quite as aromatically distinctive as Clos Joliette. Good acidity and easy to enjoy as a light, mildly aromatic white.

July 29, 2023 - At pop n pour, medium minus straw. Lots of acid, showing it’s immediate potential. Shows a dramatic burgundy classy oak to the palate, the more focused circus peanut. An ABC Hildegard side by side.
    VG with sauerkraut.
Day 3 and wildly evolved. Comes off in a slightly amontillado sherry. A little reduced? Not on day three when not on one…? A deliciously bruised dark red apple flavor.
This is a saline monster today. Some souls go full anchovies and Sherry style.

This is my third experience with this wine and the first time I’m seeing the light. Lots of character, still shows a modest circus peanut, but in the style of the above, man. Quite a wine.

December 16, 2022 - Day one, this is very quiet. Almost an h2o tasting for a profile. Mineral, but nothing astounding.

Day 4, something feels out of wack. Fresh(some maturing on the palate), but no real verve or complexity. Might not be the best example of this wine…. I admit, I’m not seeing it. Maybe just needs time open? I’ll see
