July 4, 2023 - Only had a sip or two but this was just ok. Simple citrus and green apple notes. Crisp and dry and would probably be a nice sushi wine but overall there are better FLX rieslings out there for similar or just slightly more $.

May 25, 2023 - Dry. 12% ABV. Light brass color. Tropical fruit and citrus. Very very faint petrol. Really quite nice.

January 13, 2023 - Deep color. The nose shows advanced aromas of tropical fruits, honey, orange blossom, minerals and some petrol. This is medium bodied on the palate with very good concentration and good class. The medium length finish features a saline mineral note.

January 12, 2023 - A dry Riesling from a vineyard planted in 1972 on the eastern slopes of Seneca Lake. Fermented spontaneously, bottled unfined and unfiltered. 13,1% alcohol.

Medium-deep, slightly evolved lemon-yellow color. The nose feels sweet-toned but perhaps not that true to the variety with aromas of ripe yellow fruits, some herby notes of lager-like noble hops and chamomile, light crunchy notes of fresh apple, light floral nuances of apple blossom, a hint of hay and a touch of grapey fruit. The wine is dry and firm yet relaxed and resolved on the palate with a medium body and clean flavors of spicy red apple, some ripe citrus fruit notes, a little bit of crunchy whitecurrants, light stony mineral notes, a pithy hint of grapefruit and a touch of hay. The high acidity lends good sense of structure to the wine. The finish is dry and quite acid-driven with a long aftertaste of pithy grapefruit and fresh red apple, some lemon juice, a little bit of crunchy whitecurrant and a hint of hay.

A pleasant but also somewhat linear and maybe not that varietally correct Finger Lakes Riesling - at least I don't feel hay or herby aromas are that typical for a Riesling. The overall feel is quite balanced and enjoyably dry and fresh, but I don't feel this wine really offers any competition against German Rieslings at this price point. Or even lower, for that matter. The wine feels like a rather basic little Riesling and thus a bit pricey for the quality at $25.
