April 24, 2023 - The DT-champagnes from Jacquesson just always delivers!
Base 2011 disgorged in June 2020.
2011 was really not a great vintage in Champagne, and I will say it somewhat shows in this as well, but it actually surprised me positively!
Not as deep and intense as some of the other DT's I've had, but there's still a great weight and power to it with a lot of autolytic notes; brioche, roasted nuts, toasted bread, walnuts, crushed stone and some baking spices. Accompanied by yellow apple, zesty and fresh lemon with a touch of green apple as well.
Great acidity and freshness yet also a nice creamy mouthfeel with a touch of cold butter. -

April 7, 2023 - Surprisingly reductive at the nose at first. After a few minutes in the glas - toast, hazelnut, honey and mature yellow apples. Dry. Nice acidety. Smooth mouthfeel. Layered. Long exit with nutty-notes and caramel🍾🥂

Quite shy nose on yeast and apple.
Quite rich on the palate with a good texture, we guess the extra “fat” with the DT, beautiful aromas of orchards emerge, with candied lemon and apple. Oxidation point. Good fresh and vinous finish.
It's good but I expected more, especially on the nose. -
