Community Tasting Notes 2

December 10, 2023 - Wine drunk straight from the bottle

The wine is clear and deep ruby in colour
There is no of sediment in the bottle.

On the nose: Fresh red fruit, a little alcohol and followed by leather, tobacco

On the palate: Dark fruit, blackberry, dark cherry, perfume and floral notes, followed by savoury notes for leather and cedar.

The body is light - medium.
The wine has a slightly crisp texture.
    The wine finishes long.
The wine has medium - tart, crisp acidity.
The wine has medium - medium, slightly grippy tannins.

    Conclusion
The wine almost contradicts itself, on the nose that unripe fruit but on the palate the fruit notes are more ripe. Overall quite a savoury wine with acidity that is slightly overwhelming when not drunk with food.

June 14, 2021 - 60 / 40 GS from the Hautes Corbières. Fresh, red-fruited and wallet friendly. Herbs and mineral on the finish. Nicely brisk and lively, especially considering its origin. Case buy at 8,50€
