October 10, 2022 - This strikes me as more in the style of a California Pinot. Very ripe, lots of oak, and very sweet. Smoky, cherry cola aroma. Very similar flavors: oak, vanilla, cherry. Decent weight and texture, soft tannins, and some unpleasant bitterness on the finish. It should be noted, however, that I possess the bitter “super-taster” gene, so that may not apply for everyone. Ultimately, I am a big fan of Oregon Pinot, and this is *not* what I want from Oregon Pinot.
