December 18, 2023 - Didn't make a detailed note of this, but I really enjoyed this. Clearly this has been aged on oak, showing some nutty notes, lemon peel, wax, some spice, yellow apple, vanilla with good acidity. Very interesting and complex wine.

December 13, 2023 - Koenraad; start of a tradition? (Koenraad, Utrecht, NL): This again was a surprise! This reminded me a bit of a Tondonia white reserva. Clearly seen its fair share of oak, but not in an obtrusive manner, orchard fruit, lemon. Medium+ acidity, medium+ finish. 91-92

September 10, 2023 - First taste: quite oaky (more so than I remember the 2014 to be) and full of greenish notes of anise and herbs. Very lively, and lovely.

Second day, Zalto Burgundy glass: Wow, great nose of ripe yellow plums and something spicy. The taste seems to like the expansion allowed by this large glass. Great stuff!

September 1, 2023 - A blend of Bical and Maria Gomes from Bairrada and Encruzado from Dão, fermented and aged for 12 months in new French oak (300 litre barrels), 13.5% ABV. Tart citrus and minerals, noticeable low toast oak (slightly resinous on the first day, much more integrated on the second), spices and orchard fruits, creamy lemon, linear and clear but ripe and generous, a long nerve of acidity and mild tannins, hints of vanilla and green herbs, lovely resonance and length. Beautifully structured and balanced, it will last a long time. At wine bar Oocker, Amsterdam, NL.

November 14, 2022 - Color is medium golden. On the nose: citrus, minerals, butterscotch and a little bit of funk. On the palate: Citrus, butterscotch, minerality/salinity, subtle sweetness (very nice), acidity and something like light pine resin. This is very interesting, complex and good.
