February 13, 2015 - Drank from a magnum: This earlier release of the Yatir Forest wasn't a pure Bordeaux blend as it had some 10% Shiraz and that shows on both the nose and palate. Dark red towards purple with on the nose dark, ripe blackberries, a touch of saddle leather, ripe blueberries as well as a hint of eucalyptus and freshly cracked pepper. Full-bodied with intense, well-extracted black forest fruit such as sweet blackberries, raspberries and blueberries followed by a hint of leather and tar with good balancing acidity and soft, integrated and nearly sweet tannins along notes of dark chocolate and menthol on the long and plush finish. 14% Abv. Delicious.

December 2, 2013 - Throwing sediment, would have really benefiting from being upright for 12-24 hours before drinking

Fully integrated now and at its peak, which will hold for another year or 2. Black fruits on the nose and palate. Did not show its best given the "cloudiness" from being transported, but an excellent wine

September 7, 2013 - Amazing, integrated and mature. Well extracted. Black fruits on the nose and palate. Long finish with some spice and tobacco on the back end
