April 22, 2024 - tastes and smells like artificial sweeteners.

April 14, 2024 - Powerful aroma of rosewater and stonefruit at first, developing into spicy things, ginger, vetiver, and white pepper, as well as a decided pastry aroma (smells a bit like Dunkin' Donuts). Real body on the palate, oily as to be expected, but more acidic than, say, Zind-Humbrecht, and a light mineral on the finish. Quite a bit of spice, actually – most Gewurztraminers are perfumes, but this is really more of a cologne.

February 26, 2024 - All lychee and rosewater on the nose but surprisingly fresh on palate. Some nice grapefruit cutting through. Nice to be reminded that Gewürztraminer doesn’t have to taste like a perfume shop but, I suppose, it’s not really my thing.

February 9, 2024 - [blind tasting, bracketed comments are the guesswork].

golden straw and light- to medium-bodied. delicate nose that leads with rosewater and subtle lychee [dead giveaway for Gewürz] and also gives grapefruit, stonefruit, some coriander and white blossoms. equally subtle in mouth, lychee fruit leads along with grapefruit pith [confirmation of Gewürz] with the mid palate filling out the fruit flavour from the nose and its herbal and floral complexities. moderate acidic lift, very low sweetness (dry, really), and medium finish.

rather understated Gewürz that is enjoyable by itself or can pair nicely with food.

[while the varietal was clear, the origin was not: with the changing tastes toward fresher style of whites, in parts of the "new world" Gewürz is being done in a similar subtle stye. however, as those subtler styles seem to also miss the complexities, i turned to Alsace… and of a vintage that was either cool or picked early, and eliminating some producers that tend to favour ripe styles].

December 24, 2023 - Intensity medium(+) at best, not as intense as expected. Rose petals, pink grapefruit, lychee, ginger. Acidity medium(+). Finish medium, not more due to the overwhelming alcohol.
