December 29, 2022 - Classic Burgundy, even though it’s made of gamay. It doesn’t taste like a Beaujolais at all. Perfumed, delicate and bone dry, has the finesse one expects from the region. Pretty cherry notes, good intensity. Hardly medium-bodied, tight with lively acidity and balanced tannins. Not complex but quite pretty and just spot on. (Tasted a year ago, too, with similar impressions)

June 1, 2021 - Made from Gamay but it has nothing to do with the reds of Beaujolais – it’s a classic Burgundy instead. Savory, spicy, hard to pick up specific notes. Cherries, perhaps, in a real cool climate mode, and some nutmeg. Hardly medium-bodied, bone dry, tight and so vinous – it’s an adult wine. Low alcohol and perfect balance. Finessed and classical – as good as such a modestly priced red can be for the price.
