March 3, 2024 - Nice visit to a more classic era of Rhône mixed, with some dusky and dark fruits with a sting mineral undertone. Wish it had offered more on the nose but maybe the quiet on this front was a good sign that there wasn’t anything manufactured about this bottling. Acids were controlled and the finish was quite long and had a nice blackberry/forest floor quality to it. At this price definitely worth grabbing multiple bottles if available.

January 23, 2024 - Had wanted to try a Faugeres from Languedoc and this was interesting. The nose was totally off-putting at first - like the minnow bucket my grandparents toted on childhood fishing trips. ??? (Yeah, right?!) This is NOT a pop n pour. But it really morphs 30 minutes in, getting Côtes du Rhône elements but with more acidity and bright berry. A long finish and the nose gets weirdly fruity, floral and worth savoring. Was the funk from their sulfites? Above my pay grade, but a fun table wine for $20 or so.

December 18, 2022 - Really enjoyed this bottle at the end of an evening with friends - some of the bright berry notes of a younger wine but still quite balanced and really enjoyable to drink after the food was gone - was the right bottle to open at that point in the evening.
Looking forward to grabbing another bottle and seeing how it holds up when it's the FIRST bottle of the night.

January 11, 2022 - On opening, strong Welch's grape juice on the nose, mushroom. Palate pronounced minerality, no doubt from the schist soils the vineyards are grown on. After 30 minutes the concord grape gave way to dark plum, not stewed, but fresh fruit. Crisp tannins, medium body. This continued to evolve and did not last to day two but I see this wine on the younger side of maturity. Did not have a wine from this region before and did not know what to expect; overall, my favorability of this offering grew as the wine had more air time. May be worthwhile for a short decant in the near term.
