July 30, 2023 - Disgorged January 2022, 6 gms of dosage, 100% Chard. This wine was one of the top wines of the event, although I had ranked a few others higher. This wine reminded me of a cooler climate CA still Chard. Spicy with some barrique aspect present. Ginger, mineral, spice, cut apple flesh. Of the dozen wines we had during the event, this bottle expressed a clear Chard profile, one that came though in the glass.

Strong mandarin Nose, with a hint of pyrazine. Noticeably different than the previous in the lineup. Medium-light bodied. Dry. Like this quite a bit – probably my favorite up to this point (later figured to be my WOTN); baking spices cupboard. Really quite impressive, and begrudgingly convincing me its tariff is worth it.

July 29, 2023 - Served blind. Mineral notes with ginger, flower water. Some round or lactic hints. Complex, dense palate. Crushed apples with florals. Could have used more acid to make it all really work better. As it was it came off like a grower SVD kind of wine. As in they just gave what the vineyard did. If better acidity would have been top notch. Still quite good for what it is.
