  December 16, 2021 - 15% alcohol; real cork, it appears that a small amount of wine has penetrated the entire 45 mm of cork, a no-no, but seemingly having no effect on the bottle's contents; the cork has an aroma of cork, oak, and crushed dark berries, foil is medium to heavy weight; medium to long legs, dark ruby red with a little brown; nose of yeast, alcohol, dark berries, stone fruit, cassis, oak and vanilla; opened, vinturied, and tasted 30 minutes later at about 14 degrees C; it appears that sweetness has been topped up a bit by the vintner, otherwise the components in this fruit-forward wine work well together; a rush of tannins creates a pleasant dryness on the tongue, surrounded by fruity and slightly sour berries, cassis, plums, and peaches; the fruit continues in the medium finish to the end; pair with cheese hors d'oeuvres, or with a cheese and fruit platter for dessert

  October 15, 2021 - Saw this at Costco and thought I'd give it a try. Medium bodied, fruity slightly tart, a bit woody and out of balance. Otherwise pleaseant and drinkable though it would take more than educated guess to say it was from Rutherford. 85 now and probably no better in the future HMC
