February 13, 2017 - Probably waited too long on this one. Really nice bright red fruit and lots of spicy oak character but the alcohol (15.4%) is rearing its head just a bit these days.

April 3, 2016 - Came off with some bitterness in the middle and overall not a great experience. Dumped it.

January 4, 2014 - To quote one of my party goes - it was one of the best examples of single vineyard pinots he had in a long time.

November 11, 2012 - Cranberries, red cherries and rose petals. The colour in this wine was rather pale. The palate was medium boddied, dominated by red fruit and cherries, and a light kiss of oak. Not a lot of structure, this wine seemed to be mature. There was a hint of alcohol in the aftertaste that kept this wine from being in complete balance.

September 3, 2012 - Garnet edging to brick and brown at the edges. Fully developed, but still very pretty, with rose petals, black peppercorn, cherries and tobacco. Light body, shorter finish.

February 9, 2012 - Popped & poured. Light hint of strawberries, thin and acidic at first, got better with time. Had the 2nd half of the bottle the next night - much better. Somewhat darker, richer smelling and fuller taste 24 hours later. Surprising but enjoyable.

September 28, 2011 - Quick TN: Bought this after visiting the winery a few years ago. Popped and poured. Beautiful nose of strawberries and baking spices. Initial taste was a little thin, somewhat sweet and acidic, but with 1/2 hour in the glass the wine began to blossom - flavors of ripe raspberries and spice really began to show. Maybe it was the pairing with a perfect oven roasted chicken, but this was drinking fabulously with the meal and afteward. I won't get into the QPR, but it hit the spot tonight. My plan is to try to the leave my last bottle for another year or so.

    September 23, 2011 - No notes taken.
    Not decanted.
    Cork: Clean, perfect.
Legs: Thin strong 13.5% speed (actual 15.4%)
Color: Lt rose '06 with good depth.
Nose: Bright cherry initially with cotton candy; later nice spice, earth, cherry.
Taste: Initially bright cherry, overly sweet; later spice, earth, raspberry, black cherry, warm velvet.
Not big tannins but well integrated.
    Finish: 40-60 secs.
Summary: Not as amazing as the last one I had, but this is their lower level offering.
Definately decant 1 hr+. Best with food. Probably drink up sooner rather than later.
